
About Ibn Abbas Islamic Centre
Ibn Abbas Islamic Centre (IAIC) was founded and registered as a charity on late 2011 to fulfil the wishes of a group of Muslim leaders in Camden who wanted to solve the needs of the expanding Muslim community.
The Centre serves the needs of the local Muslim community in the Haverstock ward and surrounding areas. The centre is needed to provide educational and religious requirements for the community.
The Centre also provides free information, advice, and guidance to vulnerable members of the community who are facing many barriers including language, social, financial, and cultural to support and help them access mainstream services.
The charity is managed by 12 elected trustee members and is staffed by two paid workers and 10 volunteers. The prayer hall is open on Monday – Friday 9:00 to 21:00 and the office is also open from Mondays to Fridays at 10am- 6pm.
The core of the charity’s work is the advancement of Islamic faith as well as educational advancement and basic health promotion within the local community.
